40th Anniversary of Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds

2007 was the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Leeds Centre for Medieval Studies (now part of the Institute for Medieval Studies), and of the International Medieval Bibliography - the leading interdisciplinary bibliography of the Middle Ages, which is produced in Leeds.

As part of the celebrations Peter Sawyer, Emeritus Professor of Medieval History, School of History, University of Leeds, spoke on 'The International Medieval Bibliography: The Unwritten History' on Wednesday, 24 October 2007 at 17.30.

On Monday, 9 July 2007, we invited all former students and staff, and everybody else with links and interest in the activities of the Institute to join us at a reception during the International Medieval Congress, to celebrate this double birthday and hear about future plans.
