How to Apply
The
Institute receives applications from all around the world. In general
there are three categories of applicants:
(i) full-time international students (i.e. from outside the UK or EU)
(ii) full-time students from the UK and EU
(iii) part-time students
The IMS seeks to admit an equal number of students in each category every year. This preserves the thoroughly international character of the programmes.
Applications can be made at any time. However, the general rule is that the earlier an application can be submitted, the more opportunities there will be for the applicant and the IMS to explore appropriate funding possibilities. Indeed, most funding bodies themselves have strict deadlines, and in order to apply for funding you will need to have been accepted onto the MA, PhD or MPhil.
