Research Support Fund

Funding is available to IMS MA and PhD students attending conferences. Each MA and PhD student may be awarded up to £100 (full-time student) or up to £50 (part-time student) per year towards the cost of attending conferences or for the cost of resources directly related to their research (e.g. travel to archives, purchase of research equipment). Where appropriate, part-time students may be awarded up to £100 over a two-year period. Multiple claims may be made in a single year, but the maximum total possible award remains the same. The decision on the amount to be awarded in each case will be based on an assessment of the merits of your application; in the case of attending conferences, priority may be given to PhD students who are presenting a paper.
