Jane Madeley

Jane Madeley is the University’s Chief Financial Officer.  She has responsibility for Finance, Strategy & Planning, Risk Management and Purchasing across the University.  Jane’s role also includes developing the University’s commercial relationships with industry, commerce, public-sector partners and education and research partners at home and abroad.  Jane attends the University’s Audit and Risk Committee and its Strategy and Investment Committee.

Jane represents the University on the CBI Regional Council. She is also a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee for Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, and a member of the UKRI Audit, Risk, Assurance and Performance Committee. Jane joined the Board of The Hepworth Wakefield in November 2016.

Jane graduated in History and Economics from York University in 1989. Since qualifying as a chartered accountant, Jane has held senior finance positions in businesses within the retail and fast moving consumer goods sectors, including Asda Walmart and the Campbell Soup Company. Prior to joining the University, in 2009, Jane was the Chief Financial Officer and IT Director for Redcats UK, the UK mail order division of the French listed PPR group (which specialises in the luxury and retail sectors).
