White Rose Language and Interaction Research Group

Expertise

The White Rose Language and Interaction Research Group consists of researchers and research students from the Universities of York, Sheffield and Leeds with a shared interest in how language is used in spontaneous verbal interaction in a range of settings, from everyday conversations to clinical consultations. The group is committed to the application of conversation-analytic methods in the study of interaction, and many of its members have a particular interest in its sound patterns.

Meetings

The group holds regular data analysis workshops, which provide an opportunity for members to work on each other's data, as well as a forum for sharing knowledge and developing collaborative initiatives.
