Commercialisation

Our commercialisation team identifies, protects and manages the University of Leeds' Intellectual Property (IP) alongside academic expertise. This involves:

• Creating 'spin out' companies to commercially use our expertise and Intellectual Property.
• Providing business with access to innovative ideas and technology, via licences.
• Pro-actively engaging with businesses and other external organisations to create new partnerships.

We have access to the one of the largest pools of expertise and innovation in the UK in the research-base of the University of Leeds, and the activities of 3000 researchers.

We also have access to a range of entrepreneurs and venture firms to help us achieve this. We have a long standing partnership with IP Group PLC
