The standard of excellence to which we aspire means undertaking research of international quality which makes a real difference to knowledge, its application and the way in which our society thinks and functions.

Our vision of securing a place among the world's top 50 universities through our distinctive ability to integrate world-class research, scholarships and education remains unchanged, as do our purpose and values, but some of the objectives have been re-worded to provide greater clarity and focus.
