The University of Leeds offers a wide range of scholarships and bursaries to students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. A number of students from many different countries are successful in being awarded scholarships and bursaries each year. For 2013 entry, we are also offering scholarships specifically for NCUK students within the School of Mathematics and Leeds Business School. The Faculty of Engineering also have a bursary on offer for students who complete the Int Dip and progress to Leeds.
For 2013 entry, scholarships of £2,500 a year will be awarded to seven applicants studying on the NCUK IFY programme and three applicants studying on the NCUK International Diploma programme.
What do students need for the IFY scholarship?
For the IFY Scholarship the minimum requirements are B in EAP and AAA in the remaining subjects (all subjects may apply). Should the number of students eligible for the scholarship exceed the number of scholarships available the Business School will offer the scholarship to the top performing students that hold the strongest academic grades, the highest English Language scores and the best personal statement that they have submitted. The three year scholarship is subject to students achieving an overall of 60% in each academic year.
What do students need for the Int Dip scholarship?
The Int Dip scholarship is available to students studying on the following programmes: Economics (and related); International Business (and related) or Management (and related) and the minimum requirements are B in EAP plus 75% overall. Should the number of students eligible for the scholarship exceed the number of scholarships available the Business School will offer the scholarship to the top performing students that hold the strongest academic grades, the highest English Language scores and the best personal statement that they have submitted. The three year scholarship is subject to students achieving an overall of 60% in each academic year.

What do students need for the scholarship?
For entry in September 2013, NCUK students taking mathematics degrees parented by the School of Mathematics will be automatically awarded an Excellence in Mathematics scholarship, provided they make Leeds their firm choice, they achieve their offer, and they obtain either A* in Further Mathematics or A*AA including A* in Mathematics.
What is the scholarship?
For students taking single honours mathematics degrees, including Mathematics (G100), Mathematics with Finance (G1N3) and Actuarial Mathematics (NG31) the value of the scholarship is £3000, in the first year only.
For students taking joint honours mathematics degrees, the value of the scholarship is £1500, in the first year only.

What do students need for the bursary?
Students will need to have successfully completed the NCUK International Diploma obtaining a pass (with overall average of 65%). Students will also be required to obtain the standard programme entry requirements for the NCUK IFY in the Maths and EAP modules.
What is the bursary?
The Bursary is 10% of full overseas tuition fees for each year of the course, subject to satisfactory progression.
