Investing in your future

By 2015 we will have spent £157m on new buildings and refurbishment to provide you with a sustainable environment and world-class facilities.

We have the most playing field space of any university in the UK – the equivalent of 50 international size rugby pitches.

Our new gym and pool The Edge, which has more fitness facilities than any other UK university, is just one example of recent developments. Plans are also underway for a new undergraduate library, with 1,000 study spaces.

The campus

The University is on a single campus, just ten minutes’ walk from the bustling Leeds city centre. It is an eclectic mix of the old and the new reflecting its 100 years history.

Leeds is renowned for its shopping, arts, sport, leisure, entertainment and nightlife. It is surrounded by beautiful, accessible countryside, with cultural and historical places of interest nearby.

Partnerships

The University is home to the International Pianoforte Competition and is part of a groundbreaking collaboration with Opera North. We have a unique partnership with Marks & Spencer – the company’s entire corporate archive is based on campus.
