Frequently asked questionsAll your questions answered about applying to Leeds
You must apply for an undergraduate degree programme via UCAS. For further information see 'How to apply'
Entry requirements for all our undergraduate programmes can be found in coursefinder
You need to be realistic - look at the typical offers and
check whether your predictions match. However, we recognise that not all
applicants are able to
demonstrate their talents and potential as readily as others through
grades alone. Access to Leeds
is an alternative admissions scheme which considers your personal
circumstances. Access to Leeds gives special consideration to applicants
who meet the eligibility criteria, and have the potential to succeed at
the University.
We welcome applicants with a variety of qualifications. For further information see our accepted qualifications
If you do not have the formal qualifications for immediate entry to a degree course, you can take a foundation degree. These courses help you prepare for degree-level studies and gain the necessary academic background. We also offer a one-year, part-time preparatory programme, Preparation for Higher Education
At present, the University of Leeds will not use the A* in offer making.
Individual departments decide whether they accept Critical Thinking and General Studies. Please refer to coursefinder or the UCAS website to see whether departments include these qualifications in their offers.
