Scholarships and bursaries As an undergraduate you could be eligible for one of our scholarships

Information for new UK undergraduate students starting a course in September 2011.

At Leeds we want to make it easy for everyone to learn without worrying about financial difficulties.

We offer a wide range of bursaries and scholarships, including the Leeds Bursary which is awarded to undergraduate UK students with a family income of £36,600 or less.

Scholarships at Leeds

Scholarships are awarded by the University, and are based on financial need and academic excellence. As an undergraduate student you could be eligible for one of our scholarships to support your studies. When you apply for one scholarship, we will automatically assess you for any others where you have met the eligibility criteria and deadline. Unlike the Leeds Bursary, our scholarships are highly competitive and there is a limited pot of funding available for each. You can apply to be considered for a scholarship before you receive confirmation of your place to study at the University.

All our scholarships require you to be a new, UK home-rated undergraduate student, without prior experience of higher education and beginning a non-NHS / NHSBSA (Business Services Authority) funded course. Most also only accept applications from prospective full-time students. All of the awards are non-repayable.

We can't consider applications after the relevant deadline has passed so remember to check the closing dates and apply early.
