We welcome students from 145 countries to Leeds each year, making the University of Leeds truly multicultural. Of our 33,000 students we currently have over 400 students from 18 African countries.

When you enrol at the University you automatically become a member of Leeds University Union (LUU), one of the biggest and best Students' Unions in the country. LUU provides both a social focus and support service for you, helping to ensure that you have the best possible student experience.
There are over 300 student-run clubs and societies that you can get involved in at the Union, representing different nationalities and cultural interests. Whatever you're into - whether it's performing arts, sports, or music - you're sure to find a club for you.
We offer a wide range of scholarships for international students, from partial fee awards to full scholarships covering fees, maintenance grants and other allowances. If you are thinking about doing a taught or research postgraduate degree you can search our postgraduate scholarships online
