In order to gain admission to the International Foundation Year, two types of qualifications are required:

China |
An average of “good”, “grade B” or 80% in Senior High School Year 2 with at least “good”, “grade B” or 80% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Ghana |
Grade B average in the WASSC/SSSCE with at least grade B in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
| Hong Kong |
For Form 7 students - a minimum of grade E in two relevant academic subjects in the Hong Kong Advanced Level examinations (HKALE) plus D grades in a minimum of 4 subjects in the Form 5 Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examinations (HKCEE).
For Form 6 students - a successful completion of form 6 plus D grades in a minimum of 4 subjects in the Form 5 Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examinations (HKCEE). |

An average of 65% in the Standard XII Higher Secondary Certificate (All India Senior School Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate or Pre-University Course) with at least 65% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |

Jordan |
An average of 80% in the Tawjihi (General Secondary Education Certificate) with at least 80% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Kenya |
Grade B average in the Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with at least grade B in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Kuwait |
An average of 80% in the Shahadat-al-thanawia-al-a'ama (General Secondary School Certificate) with at least 80% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Lebanon |
An average of 15/20 in the Baccalauréat Général with at least 15/20 in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Libya |
An average of 75% in the Secondary Education Certificate with at least 75% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Nigeria |
Grade B (or 3) average in the SeniorSchool Certificate (WAEC or NECO) with at least grade B (or 3) in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. Some programmes require a grade A (or 1) in relevant subjects. |

An average of 80% in the Thanawiya amma (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with at least 80% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |

South Korea |
An average of grade B (Wu) in the High School Leaving Certificate or Diploma with at least grade B (Wu) in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Sudan |
An average of 70% (grade B) in the Sudan School Certificate with at least 70% (grade B) in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Syria |
An average of 80% in the General Secondary Certificate with at least 80% in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Taiwan |

Turkey |
An average of 3/5 in the Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) with at least 4/5 in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
Uganda |
Grade 3 average in the Uganda National Examinations Board (NEB) Secondary School Leaving Examinations with grade 3 in subjects that are relevant to the intended undergraduate degree programme. |
UAE |
