The Road to Voting Project
Welcome to the website for the AHRC funded project 'The Road to Voting'.
'We are a group of researchers from the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies and the Institute of Communication Studies at the University of Leeds. We are interested in exploring how people experience the process of voting in contemporary society and the type of issues, from local to global, about which people would like to vote if they were given a chance to do so. We're also curious about ways of mediating the voting experience that emphasise its quality as a live event, as well as new tactics that enable citizens to reflect and deliberate upon the intensity of their collective preferences; designs for voting that underscore the reflexive and imaginative dimensions of choice-making and ways of making the consequences of voting more visible
