The Sadler Gift
A fully-illustrated catalogue of The Sadler Gift is now available from the Gallery shop - in-store price is £18 (£15 for students and FUAM members).
Focusing on the gift of pictures from his personal art collection that Sadler made to the University in 1923, the catalogue has been researched and compiled by Dr Hilary Diaper, Keeper of the University Art Collection from 1987 until 2010, and provides detailed information on the individual artists represented.
The publication also includes an overview of Sadler's work as vice-chancellor of the University of Leeds between 1911 and 1923, and his contribution to the cultural life of both the university and the city.
