MBChB - Medical Undergraduate Degree
The School of Medicine here at the University of Leeds is one of the most sought after medical schools in the country. The student experience here has been extremely well received, as shown in the 2011 National Student Survey, where 97% of all medical students were satisfied with the training they received.
LIGHT staff are very pleased to make a significant contribution to the MBChB through both management and delivery of teaching.
Intercalated BSc courses
Intercalated BSc courses are a fantastic way for Medical students to focus on a specific subject by opting to intercalate on a one year BSc programme. This allows our future doctors to augment their medical training and to gain valuable research experience.
The Intercalated BSc in Medical Imaging is hosted in LIGHT and led by programme manager Dr Laura Rhodes (Division of Medical Physics). This programme offers students an introduction to diagnostic medical imaging alongside the teaching of standard academic skills important to all medical careers by combining clinical applications with training in the underlying science and technology of image formation in several diagnostic techniques. More information can be found on the course page, or you can email us on medimagebsc@leeds.ac.uk.
