Leeds Institute of Health Sciences

Research

AUHE has a large portfolio of competitively funded applied and methodological research in health economics. We work in collaboration with researchers from the University of Leeds and other UK and international research intensive universities and organisations. We aim, through engagement with policy makers, clinicians, clinical scientists, basic scientists, patient groups and other applied health researchers, to promote multi-disciplinary research across the spectrum of health producing activities that is likely to promote improvements in health, health care and wellbeing. Key areas of current research include: measurement and valuation of health; equity in health care resource allocation efficiency in health and social care; economic evaluation in health care decision making; efficient research and development in the health care industries; and health econometrics.
