The Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development, led by Dr Nancy Gerein, is an academic unit of the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Leeds. For 30 years, the Centre has been a major international resource for education, research and technical assistance in health and development. We have a strong pro-equity base and our mission is to develop the capacity of health systems in lower-income countries, particularly in the public sector. The Centre has a well-established and popular portfolio of postgraduate and undergraduate courses. Alongside teaching, our research and consultancy programmes with International partners generate new knowledge to improve the health of communities in lower-income countries. Recent activities are described in news and events. Please do contact us if you would like more information about our work. | |
