Current Research Interests
- Promoting demand for and uptake of health services in low and middle income countries, through enhanced understanding of context and the development of innovative health education methods.
- Assessing the impact of health education through community health clubs and house to house visits, as well as improved services through community health workers, traditional birth attendants and enhanced outreach services on child mortality in Guinea Bissau.
- Developing guidelines on promoting Smoke Free Homes for use by Muslim religious teachers in the UK.
- Developing research methodologies for conducting rapid ethnographic studies into maternal and neonatal care practices.
