| Professor Peter McWilliam Faculty Dean |
As Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health I am responsible for the academic leadership, management and finance in the Schools and Institutes of the Faculty. I chair the Faculty Health and Safety Committee and the Faculty Executive Committee. I represent the Faculty on key University Committees including Faculty Management Group. I work with our key strategic partner, the NHS, through my role as Non-executive Director of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. |
| Professor Jennifer Kirkham Pro-Dean for Research |
Jennifer Kirkham is Pro-Dean for Research within the Faculty, supporting the Faculty Dean in matters of research and working together with Institute Heads and Directors of Research to deliver the Faculty's mission to deliver world class research that is of benefit to the health and welfare of society. Professor Kirkham chairs the Faculty Research Committee and is responsible for development of the Faculty's research strategies in collaboration with the Academic Sub-Deans for Epidemiology & Biostatistics; Clinical Research; Health Services Research and Laboratory based Research. Professor Kirkham is also Head of Oral Biology, Leeds Dental Institute and is an active researcher in biomineralisation and skeletal tissue regeneration. |
| Dr Mitch Waterman Pro-Dean for Learning & Teaching |
As Pro-Dean for Learning and Teaching, Dr Waterman is responsible for the quality assurance of taught programmes of study in the Faculty, the operation of the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority's continuing professional development contract, and acts as the Faculty's representative on the University's Learning and Teaching Board, and Committee on Applications. Dr Waterman chairs the Faculty Learning and Teaching, and Admissions and Widening Participation Committees. He is also the Chair of the University's Learning and Teaching Support Review Board. |

| Professor Deborah Murdoch-Eaton Chair of Faculty International Committee Personal Website |
Professor Murdoch-Eaton chairs the Faculty International Committee. Internationalism is a strength of our faculty, which aims to contribute to the development of global society and be a key part of the Universities ambition to establish itself as a leading international university. Deborah supports the faculty dean in our vision, through the development and implementation of our international strategy (needs weblink), and through active participation in the University Faculty International Leaders forum. Professor Murdoch-Eaton also holds a chair in Medical Education, participates in developmental, consultative work and a number of national and international medical educational projects. |
| Dr Trevor Batten Director of the Graduate School |
Trevor Batten is the Director of the Graduate School of the Faculty of Medicine & Health. In this role he is the academic lead for all matters relating to postgraduate research students in the Faculty, from recruitment and admissions, through training and progress monitoring, to the examination process. He is supported by the Graduate School Manager and Postgraduate Student Coordinator. He is Chair of the Faculty Graduate School Committee and a member of the Faculty Research Committee, the University's Graduate Board, DOGES Forum, Researcher Training & Career Development Steering Group and University Research Ethics Committee. As a member of the LIGHT Institute in the School of Medicine, he is active in research as a Reader in Autonomic Neuroscience. |
| Andy Pellow Information Management & Technology Manager |
Andy provides leadership for Information Management and Technology across the Faculty, working collaboratively with Schools, Institutes, University knowledge and information services and external partners. His role is to help the Faculty to achieve its strategic aims and objectives through effective and efficient management and use of information, information systems and information technology. He leads a small team providing information management support to the Faculty. |
| Clare Skinner Faculty Head of Research Support |
Clare is responsible for the strategic management of research support within the Faculty working with the Pro Dean for Research and the membership of the Faculty Research Committee. She also acts as the University lead for ethics and governance as it relates to the NHS systems and works with management in the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust on governance issues which cross the two organizations. |
