Faculty Graduate School

The Faculty Graduate School was established from 1 September 2006 and is committed to providing a high level of support and training to all postgraduate research students in the Faculty.  The Graduate School handles all administrative matters concerning postgraduate research students in the Faculty, from enquiries, applications and admissions to support of students already undertaking their degree.  There are approximately 400 students studying for a research degree on a full time and part time basis within the five Institutes and two Schools in the Faculty.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health at Leeds is committed to undertaking world-class research that makes a significant impact internationally and supports the needs of the local and national health economy.  Our vision is to harness the physical, medical and health sciences to pursue interdisciplinary approaches to tackle medical, health and social problems for the benefit of health and welfare of society.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health offers excellent research facilities and a high quality research training environment within the constituent Schools and Institutes.

These Institutes are based on a number of sites within the University, Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital and other local hospitals.  The Faculty of Medicine and Health maintains a strong commitment to postgraduate research students.
