The Application Process: Offers

Applicants who are successful at interview will be made an offer. Applicants will receive the offer and its conditions in a letter direct from the School, in addition to the formal UCAS notification.

Conditional offers

An applicant’s eventual acceptance depends on the grades obtained at A2 and AS level. (See Academic Criteria for required grades) The offer is made in terms of grades and not a ‘point score’.

Applicants who do not meet the set requirements may be considered for a place but, because the situation varies yearly, it is not possible to forecast the outcome for an individual applicant. This depends on the availability of places and the grades actually achieved, but even candidates who only narrowly fail to meet requirements (even by only one grade) might not obtain a place. If places are available, priority will be given to applicants who received an offer from Leeds which was firmly accepted.

Unconditional offers

Offers which do not depend on meeting academic criteria are still dependent on satisfying the health requirements and police checks.
