Master of Research in Medicine

The Master of Research (MRes) in Medicine is a new taught postgraduate programme of study which starts on 3 September 2012.  It is a full time, twelve month course which combines a nine month research project with tuition in research skills.

Structure

The MRes programme comprises 180M credits, consisting of

  • A research project: 120M credits
  • Student-selected taught modules from a list: 60M credits

Applications are welcome from

  • Intercalating medical students after Year 3 MBChB. Apply here
  • Medical and science graduates
  • International students who may wish to progress to PhD

Supervisors will be experts in their field of study and skilled at supervising students.

Research projects will be offered in the four Institutes of the School of Medicine.
