Miller's Pyramid

In medical education Miller's pyramid is used extensively as a tool to develop assessment methods, but can equally be used initially when creating learning objectives.

If we consider what we want the learner to do by the end of a teaching session, a module or a degree programme i.e. recall knowledge, demonstrate a skill or attitude we can decide which domain that fits into and design our objectives, teaching and assessment technique to ensure that (to the best of our ability!) these objectives are achieved.
