Objectives
To develop the ability to identify topics meriting research and the appropriate theories and methods of researching and writing them; to develop scholarly judgement and creative ability in locating or making and using the archive; to develop the ability to undertake independent research under supervision.
Syllabus
Subject of dissertation to be agreed with the programme director.
Form of teaching
Tutorials: individual supervision. Practical: Dissertation workshops, classes, presentation of project at MA symposium end Semester 2 and feedback from this.
Form of assessment
1 x 12,000 word dissertation
