The Leeds-led AHRC funded project on Writing British Asian Cities concluded recently.
This Leeds-led research project concluded recently. It was funded by the AHRC Diasporas, Migrations and Identities Programme. The Department's Drs. Seán McLoughlin and Emma Tomalin collaborated with academic colleagues and PhD students.
The project considered the diverse local character and trajectories of South Asian diasporas in Britain today as the product mainly of post-war immigration from particular parts of India, modern Pakistan and Bangladesh, as well as East Africa.
