Cultural and policy projects

As part of their MA experience, many CCE students choose to get involved in a wide range of creative and policy projects.

Our students have worked as graduate student consultants for organisations such as “&Co – The Cultural Marketing House” and the “York and North Yorkshire Partnership Unit”

CCE students have contributed to the marketing and communications of the University of Leeds New Stages Festival.

Students can participate in the student management board of stage@leeds, the School’s public licensed theatre complex.

Graduate Destinations

  • Recent CCE graduates have joined international consultancy firms and social enterprises as research associates.  Others are now working entrepreneurially in arts and cultural organisations – both large and small - as project managers or in cultural policy bodies as policy managers and advisors.  Many graduates are now pursuing Ph.D. work.
  • Other career destinations include urban regeneration, community development, public policy and teaching.
  • Many graduates from the School set up their own businesses, sometimes during the course of their study or shortly afterwards.
