Admission Requirements

  • BA Managing Performance (W450)
    Typical A2 levels : BBB - normally including Business, Performing Arts and other Arts/Humanities subjects. General Studies is not accepted. However, we consider alternative profiles and experience where students can demonstrate their suitability for this course .

  • BA Performance Design (W462)
    Typical A2 levels : BBB - normally including Art and Design, Design and Technology, Theatre Studies and other Arts/Humanities subjects. General Studies is not accepted. However, we consider alternative profiles and experience where students can demonstrate their suitability for this course.

  • BA Theatre and Performance (W 440)
    Typical A2 levels : ABB - normally including Drama, English, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, and other Arts/Humanities subjects. General Studies is not accepted. However, we consider alternative profiles and experience where students can demonstrate their suitability for this course.

  • Alternative qualifications
    The School fully endorses the University’s widening participation strategy.
    We welcome applications from mature students, for whom entry requirements are flexible. Some excellent students come to us with professional qualifications or by means of Access courses. We interview those applying with appropriate experience and non-traditional qualifications. Such applications are warmly welcomed in view of past successes.     Access, APEC and University Mature Entry Schemes are accepted; please contact the University Admissions Department (ug_enquiry@leeds.ac.uk;) for more information.

  • BTEC qualifications
    DDD in subject-specific areas.

  • International/Overseas students
    All applications from international students are considered in line with our standard entrance requirements (expressed as English A-level qualifications) and we would expect predicted grades to be of an equivalent level. Proof of English Language proficiency will be required and minimum levels and approved tests for the School are detailed in the University of Leeds Undergraduate Admissions Policy.   • International Baccalaureate
    For Managing Performance and Performance Design is 32 points, including a minimum of 6 in discipline-specific subjects. For Theatre & Performance is 36 points, including a minimum of 6 indiscipline-specific subjects
