For a fuller introduction to the Portal, please visit the IT induction tutorials, accessed via the IT induction and training channel on the IT & Libraries tab in the Portal. There are separate versions for students and staff. In the section about the Portal, they take you through it tab by tab with screenshots and explanatory text. The student induction is particularly useful for anyone who needs to explain to students how to use the Portal, and staff often find it helpful to see the Portal as students see it (see also What students see). Note: the inductions use Flash, and they show the Portal as at approximately the start of the 2010/11 academic year (to be updated shortly). See:
