Grant Health Checks

The Grant Health Check is an opportunity for the Principal Investigator (PI) to raise any issues or concerns they may have with regards to their research project or to simply relish how well everything is going. Similarly, it is an opportunity for the Pro-Dean for Research and the Post-Award team to confirm from a financial and project management aspect that all is well.

Procedure

• The Faculty Research Office contacts the PI to inform them that a grant health check is required

• A meeting date is arranged and confirmed by an e-mail invite with an agenda

• 1 week before the grant health check a pro-forma will be e-mailed to the PI and they will be asked to bring this with them to the meeting

The general rules for a Health Check are:-

• projects of two or more years in duration will have a health check annually

• projects less than two years in duration will have a health check midpoint

Exceptions to the Grant Health Check are all British Academy Conference/Travel grants, KTP grants and all research grants that are less than 9 months in duration.
