
Confirmation of Registration Certificate
Research Student Administration (RSA) can produce an official registration certificate confirming that you are a registered student at University of Leeds. You may need a registration certificate for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to obtaining a reduction in council tax, opening a bank account, or for the purposes of your sponsor. RSA is also able to produce a certificate confirming your past registration at the University
Confirmation of Acceptance for Study Number CAS (this is for International Students applying for a student visa only)
In order for you to apply/renew for a student visa, the University of Leeds must obtain a CAS number from the UK Border Agency. You will then use this number when submitting your visa application. This number confirms that the University of Leeds supports your request for a student visa. Please note the University can only issue a CAS and we cannot issue registration certificate for this purpose.
Please note that if you require a CAS for visa purposes, and you are undertaking research in the areas of science, engineering or technology disciplines, and your nationality is non UK/European Economic Area (including Switzerland), then you will need to apply for an ATAS Clearance Certificate. Award Statements
These are available free of charge to former students for 3 months after they have appeared on a pass list. After the 3-month deadline, award statements will be £5 for the first copy and £3 per additional copy ordered at the same time as the first copy. Those who qualify for a free statement should continue to request statements in the usual way (i.e. by completing a request form at the Student Services Centre counter or downloading the request form below).

How do I request a statement or CAS?
Please complete the request form
and return to Research Student Administration either by e-mail or by post.
You can also submit request for a CAS at the Student Services Counter. Please note that CAS statements will be e-mailed to your University e-mail account.
