Mass registration 2011/12

4th July onwards	Despatch of September registration reports for returning students. Schools to check details and return to Research Student Administration
30 July 2011	Date research students need to be registered by in order to count in the 2010/11 HESA return – this applies to the cohort of new and returning students who should have registered in August 2010, through to the July 2011 starters/returners.
No later than August week 1	Despatch of October registration reports for returning students. Schools to check details and return to Research Student Administration
August week 1	Despatch of September and October registration reports and International Student Office information packs for new students
August week 1	On-line registration available for: - new September students - returning September students for whom Schools have returned registration reports to RSA
August week 3	New Students - please forward application forms to Research Student Administration by this date to ensure offers are processed and on-line registration is open in time for 1st September
August	International Student Office welcome/information packs available for collection/to be delivered from Student Services Centre building (further details to be sent in due course)
September week 1	On-line registration available for: - new October students - returning October students for whom Schools have returned registration reports to RSA
Monday 17 October 2011	Registration listings despatched to Schools
Friday 28 October 2011	First key monitoring date for registration - internal statistics produced
Wednesday 30 November 2011	Second key monitoring date for registration - aim to have all students registered for HEFCE return.
Thursday 1 December 2011	Statistical returns made to HEFCE. Census date for the allocation of funding to schools for registered students

Registration packs

International Student Welcome Packs will still be sent to RSA by the International Student Office. RSA will liaise with Schools nearer the time about the despatch of these.
With the Sept/Oct new students registration reports, RSA can also provide a number of help sheets that Schools can give to the students who come to the School Office. This sheet explains how to log onto University of Leeds computers and portal, then how to find the registration pages, informs them what to do in the Student Services Centre, and provides contact numbers/e-mails.
A small number of hard copies of the full instructions will be sent round for reference.

Banner training/business process refresher
A circular will be sent out at a later date reminding people of the business process.

International Student Office briefings
Further information will be sent out in due course about ISO’s induction sessions.
