The Faculty Graduate Schools work in partnership with the University’s Graduate Board (and its specialist Groups), and Research Student Administration to enhance the quality of research degree programmes at Leeds.
Our Faculty Graduate Schools provide support for students, which is complementary to the support already offered by academic schools and central services.
The precise arrangements in each Faculty Graduate School may be different to take account of the requirements of the different disciplines, but the structure is intended to strengthen research degree arrangements and provide a consistent experience for all students. The Graduate Schools will, for instance, provide training for research students at Faculty level and provide opportunities for research students to interact academically and socially through the organisation of conferences, seminars and social events.
