The University and the trade unions are committed to working together to consult staff on all new health and safety topics.

All staff are invited to read the following documents on class 3B and 4 lasers and feedback by 5pm on Friday 1st June to safety@leeds.ac.uk 

• Standard on class 3B and 4 lasers –sets out University expectations for what must be achieved in every school and service. This is auditable.  

 

• Guidance for Heads of School/ Service on class 3B and 4 lasers – suggests one way in which you could achieve the Standard.

For both consultations please particularly consider the following questions:

• Are you clear about what we're asking you to do? Where do you need more clarity?

 

• Is the level of detail right? Do you need any more information?
