I heard about the Leeds International Summer School (LISS) at my home university and I decided that I couldn’t miss such a memorable study abroad experience and an opportunity to learn about the British culture.

After one tiring flight from India to Leeds I felt really happy when I arrived at my student accommodation, where we had unforgettable moments during LISS. Leeds is an excellent city for students as it is neither too big nor too small. The facilities in the city are very convenient and everything was close to the campus.

During the LISS program I enjoyed every single moment and it was fun meeting different students from all over the world. Some of the best aspects of the program included the excursions to York, Bolton Abbey, the Yorkshire Dales and Harewood House. I also enjoyed the field trips to the People’s History Museum in Manchester and the National Media Museum in Bradford, which we visited as part of the modules I studied, along with our fantastic tutors who helped me to be a better learner and the social assistants.

Applying and studying at the University of Leeds has been amazing. I have loved every minute of my four weeks here and would really recommend the courses here as they cover such a wide range of topics from Wealth and Poverty to up-to-date smartphone technologies, which I chose as my modules here at LISS.

I feel sad that my time here at Leeds has come to an end but I am also looking forward to my next journey which the University and my course have helped me prepare for. I would say “Do it!” if you are thinking of applying to any course at the University of Leeds.
