Coming from another country to study in a whole new culture and surroundings was a completely unique experience for me. I had never even heard of the city, nor of the University of Leeds, but I knew that I wanted to study abroad over my summer break. I chose the United Kingdom because I thought that the UK is one of those countries where I can reach incredible heights and where I can also gain excellent knowledge and experience. I am delighted to have been part of LISS in this summer.

My first module was Introduction to Robotics and Autonomous Systems, which involved building robots! The most exciting thing about this module for me was programming the robots to work accurately and watching the robots at Jaguar Land Rover assemble cars on the field trip we went on. For my second module, I took Introduction to Digital Photography. I did not have any experience of studying photography, but the reason I chose this module was that it is one of my hobbies. I think that taking memories of important moments of your life is very interesting.

The excursions and social activities were another highlight of the programme. All of the excursions were amazing, but my favorite day trips were the visits to York and Harewood House. York is one of the most charming places in the United Kingdom, and it is a very traditional and historic city. I liked spending time at the Chocolate Story and visiting the National Railway Museum. Harewood House was another fantastic trip.  Sitting on the terrace of the house while gazing at the magnificent gardens was so relaxing, and learning about the Royal Family members who lived and stayed there was very exciting.

The friendships I made throughout my time at LISS have been incredible, and I have made friends from all over the world! To each person who is thinking about applying to LISS, I would strongly encourage you to do so because the combination of coursework and social activities result in an unforgettable summer.
