I applied to LISS as I wanted to expand my horizons and gather experiences and happy memories. LISS stood out to me as the curriculum and the course was designed to be very student friendly with great emphasis not only on the study as aspect but also student interactions and excursions around UK.

Leeds is a very vibrant city. It has a deep connection with art and I am very happy to have chosen LISS to spend my summer. There is always something to do. There are so many amazing places to visit as well, in or near the city.

During my stay here, I experienced great hospitality on the campus. Leeds Campus is very student friendly. The Union is amazing. I loved the Common Ground CafĂ©. Classroom experience has been very intellectually rewarding, with so many activities and field trips which provided me with me immense practical knowledge. The Business & Cultural Awareness: Bridging the Gap module taught me a lot about how important it is to be understanding while interacting in groups which are culturally diverse. In the Criminal Law & Legal Skills module, we tackled head-on some of the most controversial topics in law and were enriched by listening and learning from each other’s perspective. We also attained a deeper understanding of many different Legal Systems and the problems faced by them.

York was so alluring. The city radiated an old-world charm yet was so modern. It was amazing. I felt like I was enriched through my travelling in that city. Whitby and Ilkley were fun as well!

I loved the The Edge, will miss it so much. I spent my free time in the gym or the parks. The sky here is beautiful. The Libraries also have such vast and interesting collections, sadly didn’t get much time to visit them often.

Trinity shopping area sure is addictive. Food and shopping in Leeds was really fun. I had a great time.

I was also able to make really good friends from different countries, it really made me feel like a global citizen.

Overall, the experience as a LISS student was one of deep reflection and it helped me understand not only myself better, but also the environment around me. I am really happy to have chosen LISS for my Summer Course.
