Karate Club: The Leeds University Staff KDS Karate Club meets once a week for an hour long training session at the Edge. The training is aimed at complete beginners, but those with previous experience who would like to try out a new style are also welcome. Karate-do Shotokai (KDS) is a non-competitive style of karate which focuses on the practice of karate as a martial art. Size and strength are not important as power is generated from applying the correct timing and body condition. The club also regularly organises trips to national KDS courses across the UK, giving our members the opportunity to learn from other experienced karate instructors and students. For more information see our website or contact Peter Rogberg (p.rogberg@leeds.ac.uk).

Cricket Club: The Leeds University Staff Cricket Club is made up of a wide cross section of staff at the University including teaching staff, post graduate students, admin personnel and staff from affiliated organisations.
