Multilevel Modelling
Providing the necessary skills to exploit clustered data structures.
When
20 - 22 March 2012
Course at a glance
A review of single-level modelling introduces the extension to models where the data form a hierarchy (or cluster). For example, a two-level model may be used to correctly reflect the data structure of teeth (level 1) being clustered within an individuals mouth (level 2). MCMC methods will be outlined and model fit and diagnostics are considered. Finally, some alternative outcome distributions are considered. Time is allowed for undertaking practical exercises using the MLwiN software.
