Studying abroad is both exciting and challenging. We have over a century of experience of welcoming students onto our courses. This gives us a deep understanding of the pressures you will face. That is why we have an extensive support network in place for international students.

Information, advice, and counselling services

  • Careers Centre - advice about your future career and work experience.
  • University Chaplaincy - offering support and advice to all religious denominations.
  • Equality Unit - advice and support on issues relating to racial, sexual, religious and disabled persons equality.
  • The Language Centre - improve your English skills using audio, video and computer workstations.
  • Nightline - trained student volunteers operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week offering counselling and advice on everything from depression to exam times.
  • Research Degrees Office - research PG student registration, thesis submission and examination.
  • Scholarships Office - advice on scholarships, what is available and how to apply.
  • University Security Service - 24/7 emergency response on campus and university run accommodation, also advice and help on issues relating to personal and property security.
  • The Skills Centre - improve study, presentation and team working skills. Video conference technology available to students.
  • Central Student Administration (CSA) - undergraduate and taught postgraduate advice on admissions, registration, degree ceremonies, examinations and more.
  • LUU Student Advice Centre - confidential advice from the students union about immigration, housing, money, and academic procedures.
  • University Student Counselling Service - confidential one to one counselling for all students, especially related to personal matters, depression, homesickness, stress, loneliness etc.
