Argos reporting is hosted by ISS and supported by Student Systems Administration which is part of Student Administration. The users of Argos will be part of community groups where users will be invited to become part of each group, users will be expected to undertake training and show competence to be part of the datablock and report writer groups. End users will be given access to run reports only but will be required to make an application and comply with the University's regulations.
The groups are:
Administrator - this role includes; management of Argos , connecting to databases, assigning users and managing security.
DataBlock Writers will be able to write the queries from the required database and supply the information for use by the report writers, users will be expected to be proactive in the creation of datablocks and attend regular group meetings.
Report Writers will be able to use the information supplied by the datablock and create the necessary report for use by the end users. Report Writers will be permitted to become part of any of the groups, initially; admissions, student records and management information. Others maybe added as required. Users will be expected to be proactive in the creation of reports and attend regular group meetings.
End Users will only be able to run reports.
All roles will require the completion of an application form indicating which group they wish to be part of and that they agree to comply with the regulations on Data Protection.
