What are the counter opening times?
9am-5pm Mon-Fri (Wed 10am-5pm).
The closing procedure begins 10 minutes before the doors are shut and if your inquiry would take more than 10 minutes to resolve, we will ask you to return on the next working day.
Please note that the Cash Services Counter closes at 16:45 to allow for reconciliation procedures.

Which divisions are based in the centre?
Counter Services, Accommodation, Taught Student Administration, Research Student Administration, Student Financial Administration, Student Systems Administration. For a summary of each office's responsibilities, see the 'visit us' page.
Can you provide help on services not provided by the centre?
If you come to us with a query we cannot deal with, we will do our best to put you directly in touch with someone who can.
How do I change my name on University records?
Students must provide some evidence of their change of name to the main counter e.g. passport, driving licence, marriage certificate. Students will be advised that their name change will appear on all correspondence and their degree certificate.
Where do I pay my University bills?
Main counter for payments by debit/credit card only.
Cash services counter for payments by cash, cheque, travellers cheque, credit/debit card.
Can I pay my fees at the main counter?
You can pay your fees by card at the main counter and by cash, cheque or card at Cash Services (formerly Cash Office). Cash Services also handle all cash transactions for University members of staff.
Where do I submit my scholarship application?
Students can submit postgraduate scholarship applications at the Main Counter.
Postgraduate scholarships information is displayed in the SSC and online at: http://scholarships.leeds.ac.uk
Where do I submit my Access to Learning fund application?
Students can collect/submit ALF applications at the Main Counter.
These are assessed by Financial Aid staff.
Can I pay for library fees/sports membership at the SSC?
No, students must visit the library/sports centre desk.
Where do I apply for University accommodation?
Application forms for full year/summer vacation/family accommodation available at the Counter. Details of University accommodation are on the Accommodation website.
How do I change my University accommodation?
Room swap forms are displayed in the foyer of the SSC.
Temporary/permanent leavers should bring a copy of their leavers form to the main counter in order for an 'Amendment to Tenancy Agreement form' to be completed. Students must give 56 days notice if leaving Uni accommodation. Students will usually only be released from their contract early if they are leaving their course or a suitable replacement is found. Students can complete a 'Replacement Required form' at the Main Counter.
Can I get a replacement student ID card from the centre?

Where do I get copies of official University documents?
The main counter can give you information on the following:
- transcripts
- statements
- academic verification (attendance confirmation, etc)
- bank letters
- replacement degree certificates
Is there a list of all online forms from the SSC?
Yes, see our list of online services.
Where can I get my dictionary officially approved for an exam?
Bring your dictionary to the main counter to be checked and stamped.
We are only able to approve English-foreign language (translation) dictionaries.We are unable to approve dictionaries that contain illustrations or lengthy descriptions
How do I confirm my degree ceremony choice?
Students must complete the 'Online Graduation Change Form' at www.leeds.ac.uk/ceremonies/conferment.htm
Where do I hand in my thesis?
Students can submit their soft-bound/hard-bound thesis and e-thesis at the main counter.
