Access to Learning Fund
A little extra help, if you need it...
The Access to Learning Fund (ALF) is Government funding to help students access and remain in Higher Education – particularly those who need financial help to meet extra costs which cannot be met from other sources of support.
You may also apply for the reimbursement of the cost of a diagnostic test, such as dyslexia assessment. Any help you receive from the fund is usually non-repayable. However the ALF cannot be used to meet the cost of tuition fees (except for part-time students) or university fines. For more information on the fund, take a look at some of our FAQs.
| This limited government fund is topped up each year by the Footsteps Fund with thanks to generous donations from our University alumni and friends. |
