Need some independent advice?
If you'd like to talk to someone independent from the University, Leeds University Union (LUU) Student Advice Centre offers a professional, friendly service. They provide help with any problems concerning life as a student. They specialise in housing, money and academic problems. All help is free and confidential, and they are independent of the University.
They can help by:
- Checking that a student has all the money that they are entitled to, including grants, loans and state benefits;
- Help with applications to relevant discretionary sources of funding;
- Putting together a realistic budget;
- Negotiating with creditors and managing debts.
