Leavers
Once you have chosen to leave and completed a leavers form with your school of learning Accounts Receivable will be informed. We will then re-calculate your fee accordingly. Once this has been done a letter will be sent to your permanent home address providing a detailed explanation.
The below information relates to standard scenarios and are for guidance only.

UK/EU Undergraduate students without a tuition fee loan
If you withdraw from your course you will be charged fees on a pro-rata basis according to the number of weeks from the start of your course to the week in which you leave.
If you leave after your fees have been paid the University will arrange a refund to source based on revised charge.
UK/EU tuition undergraduate fee students with a tuition fee loan
If you withdraw from your course you will be charged fees on a pro-rata basis according to the number of weeks from the start of your course to the week in which you leave.
If your fees are to be paid by a tuition fee loan from the Student Loan Company this will be paid upon confirmation that the student is still in attendance on 1st December.
However, if you withdraw from your course before 1st December the Student Loan Company will not pay your fees and you will not be able to receive a loan for them. You will be liable for the fees which are payable immediately. If you are unable to pay in full we may be able to offer monthly instalments. See: Contact Us
If you leave after the 1 December the Student Loan Company will still pay your fees but they will pay a pro rata amount for the number of weeks you have studied. The University notifies the Student Loan Company of the fees due and your loan is reduced accordingly.
International Undergraduate leavers
If you withdraw from your course you will be charged fees on a pro-rata basis according to the number of weeks from the start of your course to the week in which you leave. Please contact the relevant faculty clerk to discuss what you will be charged. See: Contact us
If after we have calculated your fee pro-rata you require a refund we will refund your payment to the source of the original payment. If a third party paid the overpayment will be returned to them. If you have underpaid your tuition fees you will be sent a letter detailing the amount due and you will be required to make payment arrangements immediately.
UK/EU/ International Postgraduate leavers
Postgraduate leavers are pro-rated based on how many months you have been a student from the start of your course to the week in which you leave. Please contact the relevant faculty clerk to discuss what you will be charged. See: Contact us
If after we have calculated your fee pro-rata you require a refund we will refund your payment to the source of the original payment. If a third party paid the overpayment will be returned to them. If you have underpaid your tuition fees you will be sent a letter detailing the amount due and you will be required to make payment arrangements immediately.
UK/EU/International Research leavers
