What information should my sponsor letter contain?
Official letter headed paper
Student name in full
Student ID number
Duration and course of study
Duration of sponsorship and amount in UK Sterling
Name and address of where to send invoice
UK Sterling only

Where can my sponsors post the Sponsor letter to?
Accounts Receivable, Student Services Centre, Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building, University of Leeds, Leeds, LS2 9JT.
If you are a returning student in most cases sponsors can email a non-editable version of your sponsor letter (for example a scanned document, .pdf or image file) to fees@leeds.ac.uk

Can my sponsor pay my fees in instalments?
No, Sponsors are required to make full payment upon receipt of invoice

How does my sponsor know how to pay my fees?
Once you have successfully completed your registration an invoice will be sent to your sponsor. Payment in UK sterling is required 30 days from the date of the invoice.

What payment method can my sponsor use?
Cheque - please quote invoice number & student name on reverse.

My sponsor has not sent my sponsor letter yet and I cannot pay my fees - What do I do?
You will be given deferred registration that is valid for one month

How does my sponsor get a copy of the invoice for my fees?

I am part of a family business, can they sponsor me?
No, you cannot be sponsored by a business which is owned by yourself or a member of your immediate family.

What happens if my sponsors are unable to pay my fees?
The University makes every effort to obtain payment from your sponsor, however if following our letters your fees remain unpaid then as per University policy the tuition fees will be transferred to your account and will then become your responsibility to pay.
Once we have informed you that you are responsible to pay the fee will be due immediately. If payments are not received late payment administration charges may be incurred.
