The University of California's eight campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz) offer a full range of Arts, Social Science and Physical Science, but the focus differs across the campuses. Los Angeles is the largest campus with 35,000 students and Riverside the smallest with only 9,000. California is a popular choice destination for Fine Art but is popular across the university. Competition for places is extremely high and interested students should therefore express California as their first choice and have at least a 65 average to be able to qualify.

Students are initially accepted for the University of California, a second application process determines which campus students study at. This process is managed by the University of California and the University of Leeds has no input in campus allocation.
