The Centre's mission is to achieve excellence in fundamental and applied research in fibrous structures whilst promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in all science and engineering fields related to technical textiles.

Our research interests are diverse, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of technical textiles.

The Centre delivers innovative and flexible learning and teaching through the dissemination, transfer and application of knowledge for the benefits of industry and academia.

The Centre offers consultancy and knowledge transfer services in textile materials and manufacturing to provide solutions to industrial problems and product innovation.

The Nonwovens Research Group is currently in the process of installing a new meltblown line at its facilities at the University of Leeds.
