aims

To embed and disseminate good practice in key skill development as a way of enhancing graduate employability and developing the skills of lifelong learning.

Objectives to…

· Audit, record and disseminate current good practice in relation to key skills development in 4 courses within each of the 3 consortium institutions and by visiting 16 institutions with Materials Technology programmes

· Target 6 of the 16 institutions where good practice in Materials Technology has been identified to produce case study material

· Produce a Staff Resource Pack on Key Skills

· Produce a Tutor, Employer and Student Guide on 'Preparing for a Work Placement'

· Produce 5 Good Practice Guides

· Develop a Student Progress File to enhance students' ability to record and articulate their achievements

· Disseminate the outcomes nationally and internationally via materials listed above, publications, a 50 page web-site, 2 national conferences, 9 institutional workshops and the Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN) Materials Subject Centre
