It's a sell out

TicketWith a limited number of tickets going on sale to staff and students on Wednesday 7 June, the remainder went on sale to the general public two days later. Although the ticket office did not open until 9am on Friday morning, the fans were taking no chances. By lunchtime on Thursday, there was already a queue forming outside the Student Union.

First in line was 23 year old chef James Clement, who waited a staggering twenty one and a half hours, just to be the first to get his hands on one of the much-prized golden tickets. The tickets may have only cost £37.50, but the experience was sure to be priceless.

Journalists from newspapers, television and radio gathered to interview the ardent devotees as they lined the pavement outside the Refectory. The story they took back was clear: The Who have still got it!
